General Troubleshooting Guide

If your app is not working properly or is buffering:

  • Check internet connection. A secure and stable internet connection is required.
  • Restart your app. Sometimes this can fix all issues.
  • Clear App Cache. Go to Firestick Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > EMP Streaming TV > Clear Cache and Data  .
If you are experiencing buffering:
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
      • Reset your modem/router and unplug your firestick. Reconnect everything and usually the problem will be resolved.
      • If you have a large number of devices connected to your Wi-FI network they could be using a large portion of your bandwidth.
      • If your internet connection is normal but Wi-FI signal is weak, you may want to purchase an ethernet adapter to connect your Firestick directly to your router. It can be purchased from this link:
  • Download a speed test app from the Firestick app store. If you get a low speed result, consider contacting your ISP to have internet speed raised. 200Mbps download speed should be enough, but we recommend 500GB.
